Withdrawal windows: why withdrawals open and close

Withdrawals run in defined periods rather than continuously. Here is what that means for you.

Your available balance is yours. But the times at which it can be sent out are controlled by a withdrawal window — a defined period during which payout requests are accepted and processed.

Why windows exist

Payouts are reconciled and released in batches against verified received funds. Running them in windows means every payout is checked against cleared money and approved by staff, rather than firing automatically the moment a balance changes. It also means an account takeover cannot drain a balance at three in the morning, which continuous withdrawals invite.

What you see

Your dashboard states plainly whether withdrawals are open or closed right now. When a window is open, you will see when it closes. When it is closed, you will see the reason and, where scheduled, when the next one opens. You do not have to guess, and you do not have to submit a request to find out.

Windows can be global or specific to you

Most windows apply to everybody. A window can also be set for a single client, which wins over the global one. That is used both ways: to open withdrawals for you specifically — for example when a recovery on your case has cleared ahead of a batch — or to hold your account while something specific is resolved, such as a verification query or a suspected takeover. If a hold applies to you, the reason is shown to you.

Limits

A window can carry a maximum amount per request. The platform minimum for a single payout is 25 in your account currency, which exists so small balances are not eaten by transfer costs. If your balance is below that, let it accumulate or raise a ticket and ask.

When a request is submitted

A request is checked against, in order: an approved and unexpired identity verification; an open window; a verified payout destination that is past its cooling-off period; and a sufficient balance. Requests at or above 1,000 require a second approver, who must be a different administrator from the first. That slows larger payouts by design — it is the control that stops any single member of staff moving client money alone.

If a window closes while your request is pending

A request already submitted and approved is not cancelled by the window closing. It continues to processing.
